...Switzer's Last Hurrah!
1985, 1986, 1987!!!
The LAST "GREAT" WISHBONE TEAMS!
ONLY LOST 3 GAMES THOSE 3 YEARS.
ALL TO MIAMI!
THE SCORE WAS CLOSER EVERY SUCCEEDING YEAR, BUT THE ERA OF THE WISHBONE TRIPLE OPTION OFFENSE AT OKLAHOMA EFFECTIVELY ENDED.
(Bosworth's 18 tackle performance in the game @ Miami in 1986 is indelibly etched in my mind. The 1987 score was 20-14. Hurt as bad as the 1971 loss to Nebraska!Think The Franchise's Eddie Radocivich was born in 1987.He calls the fans like me, "The Olds."
Where you are now Eddie Rado, I once was.Where I am now, you will one day be.
If you're lucky enough!)

I don't think Miami wins those games if they had any other coach that era. They were talented but Jimmy Johnson was a huge factor. Honesty, he should have been in prison by that time anyway. His hairstyle was a 1st degree felony.

The 1986 team was the best of the three.....much better in my opinion. The 1986 game against Miami was much closer than the final score indicates. The wishbone offense moved the ball that day but turnovers decided the game.
The 1988 Orange Bowl was simply thorough domination by Miami. The ole fumblerooski made the score closer than it really was.
