...I love the SOONERS @ -7 in this one.
Knowles Defense has been pretty good all season.
His team can probably keep it close for a half, maybe even 3 quarters, then expect OKLAHOMA to pull away.
DO NOT think that Gundy's O-line is up to the task of scheming the Grinch's D-line. Think there will be a plethora of tackles for loss, sacks, and punts for the pukes. Be surprised if Chuba gets 100 yds. Think Wallace is the only genuine threat.
Stevenson & Stogner(if he plays)will have some big plays.
Rattler just needs to take care of the ball, and run Riley's offense. If he does, could eventually cut up Knowles defense as it tires, and finish with impressive numbers.
Feel good about this one!

Stogner is out according to at least one paysite. Injury is worse than being talked about. One Norman resident said he saw him on crutches earlier this week.
It's missing here in Catoosa. How's the weather in Blanchard? Just enough rain to make the ball slick. Look for some turnovers.
I have the Sooners in a blowout. The OL has gelled and the DL is our strength. DB's will be the key. Jaden Davis out with Covid (along with Haselwood). DTY was out last game and haven't heard anything about playing status. Bookie and Fields were rumored out earlier this week but now good to go per 247. We'll see.

...cloudy, overcast, slight breeze,...not a single drip of rain so far. 59 degrees.
That could change dramatically this evening.
Sort of hope it does.
Football in the rain, when the elements are a factor.
College football has become such a "soft serve" affair.
Wouldn't mind a little mud & blood.
A little weather predicated adversity.
A little discomfort.
A little bigger challenge.
A little more BEDLAM!

So, don’t we want ISU to beat KSU? If OU and ISU win out we would both play in conf title game. If KSU wins then you have a massive logjam with 2 losses, and I’m not sure how it would help us.

Yes we need KSU to lose one more. They are at ISU today, have another road game at Baylor and a home game vs. Texas.
KSU may not win another game this season. They are getting absolutely steamrolled today.Last edited on Sat Nov 21st, 2020 10:30 pm by SoonerTony |

Freshman mistake on that punt return. Hopefully he can make it up with a TD catch today.

He was well regarded enough but still underrated. He's going to have a nice career. Also great to see Willis step with 2 catches in Stogner's absence.

Combination of call on the field, only one angle showing possibilty and home team. If call on field would have been different, different outcome.

He would never again see the field if I were coach. Even if COVID got rid of every scholarship player at his position , I’d use a walk on.

Bookie’s backup must really suck. I can’t imagine the coaches continuing to put up with this if they had another decent option.

I prefer TD's but it is nice to have a reliable FG kicker. Back to a 3 score lead.

Exactly. He had less than zero impact on the play. What is in someone’s brain to act that way when you did nothing. I just don’t get it.

This is a really important series for the defense. Another touchdown puts the sheep humpers right back in this game.

OSU spent two weeks on OU's run game. That may not work forever and in the meantime, Rattler will be fine with 400+ yards and 4 TDs even with these field goals. The big plays will break for TDs again.

Looks to me that Rattler was getting happy feet on that last 3 and out. I thought that on that 3rd down play that there was room to step up in the pocket.

Regroup, come out and treat them like the invasive vermin they are. The proper way to treat an Aggie is with contempt and disgust. Last edited on Sun Nov 22nd, 2020 02:28 am by JackStraw2020 |

Alright, I’ve yet to say something on bookie one way or the other, until now. He turned a fourth and ten into a td for the opponent and then, and this is what really makes me mad, pointed at the scoreboard on the last play of the half. You don’t win a half and you certainly don’t do it being a d bag.

This one act changed the whole game. Sitting isn’t working will LR have to kick him off team? Nothing and no one is getting through to him.
Offense has slowed way down. OSU is trying extra hard to stop run so we need more passing imo. 2 TD lead we need more

Glad he's a senior. I like OU also not losing 4 starters at once on an offensive line. Good to have a mix of grade levels to avoid a rebuilding year on offense.

Need to go for it on 4th down if you're inside the 30 yd line and at home.
But I'm not going to let anybody call the SOONER HC a coward!!!
Noticed you took exception to me hurling the charge your way.
Personal attacks and insults thrown at my team, or my team's coaches, if I see them, are going to be challenged. Nothing personal. Just me, that's all.

So the reason why I said that is...
1. OSU starts with the ball in the 2nd half.
2. Even if 3 passes are incomplete and leaves more time in the close of the 2nd half, OSU haven't shown to do much on offense.
3. At home.
4. Huge momentum if OU gets a TD and a field goal would have been helpful also.

Yeah, I see nothing where OSU can start scoring at will but really need OU's offense to show some life. I think Bedenbaugh's highly regarded recruiting class lines haven't fared as well against defensive lines as they should. The only time they truly showed up in that scenario was against Ohio St. in Columbus and against Georgia in the playoffs.
Not sure what the answer is but it's not like the KSUs, ISUs and OSUs of the world are rolling out 4 and 5 star defensive lines.

I’ve been critical of the play calling at times, but that was brilliant!
I’ve also been critical of Swenson, but he made a really good block on Stevenson’s long run!
Maybe I shouldn’t be so critical!

I have to give it up to Teddy Lehman. When I was watching one of the SoonerSportsTV shows earlier this week, he mentioned that the H-Back tends to come up big in the Bedlam games since Riley has been OC.
This game we've had big TD's from both Mikey Henderson and Jeremiah Hall.

I remember Bugs calling Elmer Fudd that.

What's a poltoon China?
If my childhood viewing of Looney Toons taught me anything, other than some opera, it is that a poltroon is a chicken, a coward, a wimp, a weenie, etc....
Okay, got it..Sometimes just need a nudge to get my memory working...
I’d be willing to bet I watched as much Looney Tunes as anyone but I don’t remember that word being used.
I remember Bugs calling Elmer Fudd that.
Of course there is also the "What a Maroon" saying he used a lot.
Now that one I remember clearly.

Regardless of what happens on this 4th down play, this has been a really successful drive, grinding out first downs, burning clock, and changing field position.
That said, I'd love to score again!

Is it ok if I call a coach a coward? Gundy punting in the fourth was a cowardly move.

Great defensive stand! Our defense has some pride and plays with some fire in their belly.

I think Oklahoma football will truly start to feel like Oklahoma football again next season. Blowing those ISU/KSU type games might be a thing in the past with Oklahoma having a "Oklahoma Defense" again. Those teams shouldn't break 24 points ever against OU unless there are lots of turnovers by the OU offense. Like those 4 TOs earlier in the season. Ugh.

Nice win. Defense is so nice to have as our offense builds for next years run.
One note is OSU 1st downs they had 19.
8 passing
4 running
7 penalty!!
We have to clean up penalties! I still think its a small knock on Riley calling plays he does not seem to have the players attention and they are not disciplined enough. 44 needs to be kicked off the team. Its like we have a great O and D coach but no one to oversee the overall team. Too much celebrating and other activities.
Loved the last 2 TD plays. They were both great play calls and executed perfectly.

I just saw the box score and we exactly doubled the Cowboys in total yardage, 492 to 246. Total domination!
Rattler and 301 yards passing and 4 TDs.
Rhamondre had 141 yards on 26 carries.

WOW!!! 7 first downs by penalties...Need to clean this up if we meet ISU in the CF game.

I'm from Braman (if you're heading north on I-35 to Wichita, it's the last town before the state line), and just down the road was Blackwell (the next-to-last town before the KS state line), and they were the Blackwell Maroons. (I think Perry is also the Maroons.) And growing up, whenever someone talked about the Blackwell Maroons, I always heard Bugs saying "What a maroon!", sometimes just in my head, but often me or one of my sisters saying it out loud, imitating Bugs Bunny.
Also, "I knew I shoida toined left at Albuqoique!" and "Of course you know, this means wahr!"

And we each ran the same amount of plays so we doubled them in yards for each play run

ISU better be ready for Stevenson, Perkins and an entirely different Rattler, offensive line and defensive line than the last time the game was played. Was Stevenson and Perkins enough alone to win that game? Yes. ISU are the ones that better be ready.

Not to split hairs, but they actually were punting from the 39. They took an intentional delay of game penalty just before the punt to give their punter more room to work with.

Not to split hairs but if they go for it they don’t take the intentional delay
