...fast, fun read. Crime noir at it's finest!
Joe Pike is my all time favorite fictional character.
He reminds me of me,...when I wore a younger man's clothes.
Only I didn't kill anybody!
(Plus, I have matching red & black arrowheads tattoed on both shoulders.)
Anyway if you're a fan of the World's Greatest detective and his partner, this makes for an entertaining few hours.

I have all of Crais' books. Most are 1st editions and some of oldest are worth quite a few dollars. Michael Connelly is my all time favorite. Have all of his books as well. Don't have anything except hardbacks.
Craise is easy reading and he has a good sense of humor.

Crais is one of my favorites along with James Lee Burke. I wait impatiently when one of them has a new book coming out. Right now, I can't wait to get my hands on Crais' new one. Love Pike and Elvis.
