Been a Bruins fan since the Orr days! They looked pretty dead that first period, but looked like a totally different bunch since. Power play and penalty kill still spot on.

...me too! Actually goes back to 1965-1967 when the OKC Blazers were Boston's Triple A farm club. Saw Gerry Cheevers tend net in a couple of the 40-50 games he played here. Cheevers won Stanley Cups for Boston in 1970 & 1972. Remember Derek Sanderson played a couple of CHL Playoff games too 1966-67.
Vivid memories of the Fairgounds Arena packed for a Blazers game.

Different time. Players didn't wear helmets, goalies were just beginning to wear masks. Big white guys on skates with sticks and few teeth.
Almost always a dropped gloves fight or two.
Manly men playing a manly game in a manly manner with other manly men!:D

Bruins looked flat early but think they took the psychological/mental edge from the Blues with their 4th quarter comeback win.

Might be a repeat of the 1970 Sweep!

GO BRUINS!

Bruins really dominated after they found their legs in the second period. It took St Louis a couple of games to adjust in the semis. I guess we'll see if the same happens or if Boston is just that much better than everyone else this year.

...seems like I heard that was the first Blues Playoff victory on the road since 1970. WOW! Half a century wait.

Bruins just ran out of gas.
That winning shot came from the Blue Line.
Rask has been unconscious good in net so far in the Playoffs, but missed that one.
Went right over his glove. and where were the defensemen?

Game 3 in St. Louis promises to be RAUCOUS!

Cup Finals may be a contest!

GO BRUINS!

This series could easily go 7. Key for the Blues is the physicality which keeps Boston's speed in check. If Boston can key on their speed, the Blues are in trouble as Rask is the better Goalie and they have a lot more firepower.

Yeah, the Blues defensemen pinching in to keep pucks in their end is really making it hard for Bruins to get out and attack. Have to counter that some way

...we know it's gonna go 6!

Blues have out-physicaled (is that a word?) the Bruins.

Fact is I'd be tempted to say the Blues have been just short of cheap shot/dirty. :X

But the violent hits are one of the things I like about professional Ice Hockey.

Last MAN's Game left!

GO BRUINS!

On the brink of elimination, Boston is forced to win 2 straight starting Sunday night in St. Louis.

...The STANLEY CUP is in the building!!!~
The oldest professional Sports Trophy in North America.

It's "win or go home" for my BRUINS. :X

Who wants it more?

Time for speed skating, hits, slapshots, & goalie play.

Now or Never, Boston![rant]

...Tukka Rask, the BRUINS Goalie has stopped 4 St. Louis Power Plays. Pitching a shutout.

Loathe to blame the officiating, but seems there's a little home-cooking going on.

End of the 2nd.

Bruins still up 1-0.:cool::dude:
