Sooners host the Red Raiders today at 3 PM.  The game is on ESPNU.

Sooners finally showed the fight that has gone missing the past few conference games, losing to Iowa St by 1 Monday night.

That game made an impression on the gambling houses that make Texas Tech only a 1 pt favorite.

If the Sooners show the same fight this afternoon, they should win.

It’s funny that you mention the gambling thing. Supposedly the last second shot to make it a one point game wasn’t reviewed because it didn’t change the outcome. Now that gambling could be a thing in more states they are looking into reviewing all last second shots regardless of the outcome. I’m not a big gambler but I’m worried that the gamblers are going to change the way the rest of us view sports. Good or bad I don’t know but it’s happening.

See if any of them could play tight end or defensive backfield, and end the program.

What we have is a team of support players with no leader to step up.

I don’t know, at this point. I do know, though, there’s only 1-2 players out there playing hard.

At the start of the season I was mad at the students for barely showing up. Even joked that my wife and I (OU grads ‘78) were actually below the median age of attendees each game.

Now, I’m just plain mad. Today: I‘m mad that I showed up. Mad about the poor effort. Mad that the leadership on the team is now just mailing it. Mad that such a poor product is being put out on the floor. Mad that team chemistry and fight have completely left the building.

Mad that most shots look like excuse me shots: Pansy, with no authority.

Mad that there’s a very good chance we likely will not win another game this season.

I'm guessing Lon has 2 more years after this one. One year with the growing pains of a talented, but young incoming class and then a 2nd year to produce. I don't see it happening. Losing streaks have been bad in the 2nd half of the season in recent years and he's no spring chicken. I just don't think he has it anymore.
