Well, we have TTech connections to our coaches, so Tech might just start their own OU coaching connection.

I wish him well, except against :ou:

Glad he found a job... I hate to see anyone out of work. It will be interesting to watch safties at TT next couple of years, alignment and tackling that will tell us how much of the OU secondary mess was Mike vs Kerry.

We will likely find out it was Mike and not Cooks. I'm just glad that this is going to be almost a clean house. We just need a total new start on the defense. Some new coaches taking a new look at the talent they have and put the kids on the field who produce no matter who they are or are not.

Cooks might be a decent coach, probably is. However, sometimes you just need a clean start.

I've been told plenty of times it wasn't Cooks, as he wanted to play bump and run press coverage, which he did at ND. This was Mike's umbrella-bail technique and keep your eye's on the WR at all times, rather than turn and look for the ball. :big confused: I hate to see what can be a good coach go to the competition, especially one who can recruit.

Yeah I kind of thought the same thing about his recruiting. At this point we just have to trust that Lincoln wouldn't let him go unless he could hire someone better.

Whew!!!  I doubt any OU player benefited from his coaching.  If they got better it was from merely gaining experience and not from coaching.
