doesn't this sound like some bad Sci Fi movie? you want to transfer then first you must enter the portal.

I am guessing though they aren't being shot out of a cannon or having their molecules ripped apart so how does this work? time frame wise when do these guys have to make up their minds, I'm going to play here or no I think I will go there?

How does Tanner Mordecai stack up to Kendell?

If Kendall does transfer then we really need Hurts.

My guess is that Austin has likely had a conversation with Riley about the possibility of Hurts coming to OU and he decided to give him a chance to transfer if OU does get Hurts.

Did you never see The Fly with Vincent Price, or the remake in '86 with Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis?

I mean... this has already been explained TWICE....

With Kendall leaving, it definitely goes beyond him thinking he can't beat out Mordecai imo.

Sorry Aries I forgot to consult you before asking. It easy
to say smart a$$ things over a key board than facing a man
face to face!

I think i would like to see a freshman qb, if Kendall jumps. Hurts just doesn't seem right for us now. 1 year and gone and we take a chance on another qb transferring.

That was meant as a joke.  I'm sorry if it didn't come across that way.

So Texas has two transferring and Oklahoma has one. Seems like a lot of QBs on the move, the question is, are there places for them to go?

Or Riley told him or he notice Riley likes Tannner Mordecai much more than kindal .
Look , he had his chances , we have seen him . He is a mediocre QB and not a starter at a top tier program producing heismans .

Austin Kendall may not be Heisman caliber, but that doesn't mean he isn't a college starter someplace else. I wish him the best, and I hope that he finds a place that works for him.

I have faith in Rilely, of course, but makes me nervous with 2 scholarship QB's on campus and one of them a redshirt freshman and the other a true freshman. I can't believe that is the ideal situation. I also can't believe Austin would transfer out without knowing if a transfer is coming in. I do believe there is something going on there that we don't know about.

But who am I to second guess a guys offense that gets to the playoffs two years in a row, without a defense, even if he is looking at going thru spring practice with "one" scholarship QB.

An old friend of mine who is a big Tulsa booster told me last night that he had heard Montgomery is very interested in Kendall.

I think Austin Kendall is a very good QB based on what I watched in the spring game and his HS video. I hope he stays. With a better defense, LR's offensive mind, and all of that new talent, I think that OU could win another Big XII championship and make another playoff run with him.

I just don't get why everyone thinks he isn't good enough. Face it folks, we aren't going to win three Heisman's in an row.

Austin is a Riley recruit from before he came to OU. He knows our offense better than any QB on campus. Heck, he knows it better than anyone other than Lincoln Riley.

Fix the defense, let us get back to reality on offense, and OU will be just fine with him at QB.

I agree, I think we could do a lot worse, from what I saw of him fairly accurate with his throws and more athletic than I would have guessed just looking at him.

I tend to think this is him covering his bases in case Murray should return instead of him not thinking he can beat out a true freshman or a redshirt freshman.

Mr. Army Dude, I'm with you on Kendall. I don't understand the issues some have with him. The kid can throw the ball darn good. He just hit a hard row to hoe with being behind Baker and Kyler. I think he can win us a fifth straight Big XII Title.

We just don't have any real video of what he might be when he actually gets 85 or 90% of the reps in the last couple of weeks of Fall practice. It makes a lot of difference in a QB when they get all those practice reps.

My take on Riley is that whatever QB he puts out there is going to be pretty successful. Riley just doesn't overload his QBs with to much to think about. Baker and Kyler were sure good at a lot of things and it wasn't all due to their talent.
