One thing holds true in history and now. A great defensive line will always win against a great offensive line. Alabama has the yards, but they haven't been easy.

He is very engaged in all of the recruiting and makes a lot of personal appearances, which is fortunately what Riley has been doing. That's one thing Bob Stoops didn't do a lot of in his latter years was in-home visits with his assistants, unless it was the most highly touted of recruits.Bob Stoops retired at halftime of the USC game -- end of story.

This reminds me of the OU/USC game but with Alabama only having 2 turnovers instead of 5. It's a good thing they didn't have 5. ;)

Bama was one yard away from 3TDs in the first quarter. Stopped for a FG. Didn't score again. Brutal performance.

I've said it many times. Tua's good, but his rep is based on a blind 2nd & 26 throw against Georgia a year ago after taking a foolish sack to get out of FG range. He didn't look before committing to the long ball. It worked, if it didn't, they faced 3rd & 26 out of FG range, down by 3 in OT. Little Herbie said it early: "Tua is anticipating defense, not reading it." He was out of odds the whole game.

Yep. Classic spread defense; give 'em all they want between the 20's & stiffen up like a board when they hit the red zone. That was about as textbook as it gets.

Saban will probably knee jerk in anger and go to the Wishbone.

Can SEC fans use the excuse that Alabama didn’t want to really be there?

DangIt!  Now I wished I would have watched this game.....ONLY.....to hear what SEC Herbie and his lap dog, Chrissy, sober thru this beat down!!  I'm willing to bet that it all started with how great Satan and the elephants are....to as many excuses as they could imagine......BUT not too much praise on the way Dabo & Brent were beating their sacred cow!  I may have to watch the replay......Nah, ESPosN will prolly change the narative to save face.

No, they pretty much sang the praises of Clemson's freshman QB and Brent Venables' game plan as the game went on.
