Flosoftball is showing a new 2021 commit for OU. They show her to be a shortstop from AThletics-Mercado but I believe she plays for Oklahoma Athletics. I did see an offer from Tennessee so she must be pretty highly thought of.

Alexx Waitman SS 2021 Athletics
Quincee Lilio OF/2nd 2021 Athletics 16U Mercado/Smith

She joins 2021 Quincee Lilio (16u Mercado/Smith) as Oklahoma commits for 2021

Ok I've heard Waitman is playing for Athletics-Mercado now. That team will be worth following with 4 OU players on it.

Yes their the 16 and under team that has Kinzie Hansen on it. They dominated everyone last year in the PGA's to win a national title. They were the So Cal A's but Mercado split off and made his own organization. Something to do with sponsorship.

We're getting close to the hot 100 countdown. Here is a picture of 2021 from Tulsa Elite. From the looks of the picture OU is in the recruiting for her

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C0akfCqUoAASSLb.jpg:large

She also took a recent unofficial to Arkansas.

Watched a floshow and they talked about 2021 rankings. mentioned OU having 2. They mentioned OU being able to be picky and just grab a couple of top ten players every year. There is a big debate on whether these girls are to young to verbal to schools. They are only in 8th grade.

They started today. 100-91. Nothing OU related this far. The only thing I can note. Lundberg's younger sister is a catcher. Rated at 94.

94--Kendall Lundberg C... Ohana Tigers -- Natividad (uncommitted)
Lundberg played last year with the Tigers-Sanchez team that was ranked by FloSoftball as a Top 10 FAB 50 preseason 12U squad and ended up finishing 13th at PGF Nationals. She was the team leader in several offensive categories including RBIs, runs and home runs and one coach said she was the "heart and soul" of the team. She's a top student of catching guru Jen Schroeder and has all the skills you want in a backstop: a very strong arm, a competitive temperament on the field, and the ability to control the game and manage pitchers. Offensively, Lundberg is a clutch hitter who shines in spotlight moments. The So Cal catcher has also been invited to the OnDeck Jamboree next month. She has good softball DNA too. Her older sister, Kylie, is a sophomore at Oklahoma was ranked in the 2015 Hot 100.

90-81 in the books. No Sooners yet. Here is a Tulsa Elite girl with Big 12 interest.

90--Celeste Wood SS… Tulsa Elite (uncommitted)
Wood was a key contributor on the Tulsa Elite 12U team that won the national championship at the USSSA Nationals in Arkansas last summer and finished fifth at The Top Gun Invitational. She's a lefty who one coach says simply "can flat out ball at shortstop." Wood has good lateral quickness and the arm to make throws from anywhere in the six-hole. Offensively, she can play small ball or hit the gaps and uses her speed to steal the extra base when the outfield is not paying attention. After her strong fall with the Elite, she is drawing the interest of several schools, including programs from the Big 12.

80-71 done. Have another Tulsa Elite player.

79--Drew Riddle IF/P… Tulsa Elite (uncommitted)
Riddle has been a catalyst on the Elite 14U Prospects team, one of the top squads in its age division, and has been competing and winning against 16U and even 18U talent for the last year or two. She's a big home run threat from the left side and started getting a lot of Power Five conference attention for her ability to crush the ball in showcases last fall. As well as being a promising hitter and corner infield prospect, Riddle is also getting attention as an upcoming pitcher who consistently throws in the upper 50s and is one of the fastest-rising prospects in Jeff Filali's Tulsa Elite organization. Said one scout, "Her versatility and ability to play at a high level in the circle and at the plate will make her one of the top prospects to watch this summer at key events like Top Gun, Boulder, USA Elite Select, and PGF Nationals."

70-61 Done. This is the only mention of Oklahoma.

68--Olivia McFadden 3B/1B…Impact Gold Navy - Vaughn (uncommitted)
McFadden helped her Impact team finish second at PGF Nationals last year and is now on the 14U squad coached by Ray Vaughn. Her power is her greatest asset -- in her young club career McFadden has already hit 24 home runs over the fence, including 10 this year alone -- and it's been against top teams from California to Texas to Florida. The Houston-area slugger earned USA Elite Select 30 All-American honors last August at the camp in Alabama because of her hitting prowess and her play in the infield, where she flashes a sturdy glove, good footwork, and a strong arm. The infielder also has interest from Power Five conference schools and has attended camps or taken unofficials to Florida, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M with more trips planned this year to top 25 programs such as Arizona, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, and UCLA.

With that kind of interest this rating seems low.

60-51 done with no OU commits. They are done until monday. Here are some of interest.

T-57--Kaylee Lyon MIF… Gametime Stars (uncommitted)
Lyon was one of the stars at the Surf City Showcase last fall, and her ability to hit for a high average and with power has since earned her a pair of offers with a half-dozen major colleges -- such as Arizona State, Houston, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State -- showing serious interest. She clubbed nine home runs last year as a seventh-grader as she hit .467 with a .568 on-base percentage. Also attractive to scouts is her high level of knowledge in the field playing defense and while running the basepaths. Lyon is a solid all-around athlete who also excels in volleyball and track, both of which help her quickness and explosiveness that translates on the softball field to great first steps and angles when playing the infield.

56--Brianna Evans MIF/OF… Texas Glory (uncommitted)
Evans is a multi-sport star who one coach calls "crazy athletic with tremendous upside." She's small in stature but has developed into a quality triple threat from the left side because her quick hands and powerful swing give her the option to effectively bunt, slap, or drive the ball to all fields. On the basepaths, she creates chaos and causes fits for opposing teams. The Texas star is gifted defensively with skills and instincts that give her the ability to play all over the field, but most scouts feel she's a natural at short and second. Coaches love her versatility, and one Glory coach says, "We love Brianna in that she has the courage and reactions to play the hot corner and more than enough speed to roam the outfield. She's constantly working to improve and is the kind of player every coach loves to have." SEC and Big 12 schools are in the hunt early on.

50-41 done. No Sooners. 1 girl has visited.

50--Maggie McBrayer P... Firecrackers -- Sewell (uncommitted)
McBrayer is a 6-foot right-handed power pitcher with a strong curve and change-up to keep batters off-balance. She's also working on a rise. Maggie has been playing softball almost her entire life, starting at age 3, and has been a pitcher since she was 9 years old. The Georgia native has led her team to the region championship all three years of middle school and will step in and compete at Calhoun High, which has won three straight state titles. Her levers and mechanics have college scouts excited, and her ceiling is high in terms of developing at the next level. McBrayer has been on visits to Oklahoma and Missouri recently and is also hearing from ACC, Big 12 and Big Ten programs.

40-31 done. No OU commits, 1 mention.

T-40--Anna Holloway SS/UT… Beverly Bandits -- Harkness (uncommitted)
Holloway has shortstop instincts and excellent physical tools, especially her impressive range, but a high softball IQ and passion for the game allows her to play anywhere on the field (and she's the type who will take any position as long as she's between the lines). She can hit anything and do it for average and power. The righty moves into the four-hole for Ramsey Harkness' team this year and has hit over .400 with five homers. Her main asset, though, is put simply by one coach as, "clutch, clutch, clutch -- she comes up big when she needs to." Holloway is considered the quarterback of the defense and has the leadership abilities that allow her to set the defense on every pitch. She's been on visits to Oklahoma, Northwestern, and Notre Dame as a high academic student-athlete with a strong upside.

30-21 Done. No OU commits. Here is OU interest/mentions.

29--Ally Sockey SS… Tulsa Elite (uncommitted)
Sockey is one of the top defensive players at any position in this class and is one of the top 1-2 shortstops in the nation. She has great hands and lateral movement and one coach said she "plays shortstop like a baseball player and plays way beyond her age." Last fall almost every D1 coach that watched her compete wanted Sockey to come to his or her college camp and many said they wanted to recruit her after watching Sockey play a few games. Tulsa Elite organization head Jeff Filali says, "She may turn into the best defensive shortstop we've ever had." Sockey just attended an OnDeck Softball event last week where she continued to impress and, with her defensive tools and improving offensive abilities, she has major programs from the Big 12, SEC and Pac-12 after her now.

T-26--Turiya Coleman C/UT… Impact Gold -- Mata (uncommitted)
Coleman, or "T" as college coaches have nicknamed her, is one of the best all-around athletes in the Hot 100. She's a true left-handed triple threat at the plate and can hit with power, slap or drop a bunt like a lead-off hitter--and all of this as a catcher. At 5-foot-8, Coleman averaged 30 points per game in basketball and on the field uses her quick, explosive first step to run a 2.75 home-to-first. She's not just an elite athlete, the Texan has great backstop skills as well and in catching gear has registered a 1.7 pop time. Her physical skills and softball tools, which include being able to hit with power and play the small game, have led to her taking campus visits to Oklahoma, Houston and Texas Tech with Texas, Texas A&M and Lamar also in the picture.

25--Lauren Sciborski C/3B… Michigan Finesse (uncommitted)
Sciborski comes from the same organization that produced Amanda Chidester (USA Women's National Team) and Finessee organization lead Donny Dreher says he believes Sciborski is ahead of Chidester in her development at this same age. Strong and aggressive, Sciborski is a solid receiver and good defender with advanced arm strength which has been measured at 66 mph and her pop time clocked at 1.82. Her power bat is another top aspect of her game that has major colleges excited about her ability to play at an elite level. Last fall, playing against top competition, Sciborski hit .492 and drew the interest of major programs across the country including Michigan, Ohio State and Northwestern in the Big Ten and Oklahoma outside the Midwest. Several Power 5 schools have offered.

20-11 Done. No Sooner commits. Assuming our 2 are in the top 10. 1 Oklahoma mention and 1 Okie State commit.

T-11--Kaylen Madrey MIF/OF... Firecrackers -- Sewell (uncommitted)
Madrey is the type of player who can take over a game offensively and defensively. She's one of the most electric players in the '21 class and can destroy a defense with a bunt using her 2.66 home-to-first speed to get on base or she can power slap a home run, which she did earlier this month over a 210-foot fence. Playing shortstop, Madrey can get to balls deep in the hole few, if any, at her position can and she has the arm strength to throw out even the speediest of runners. Madrey has cat-like reflexes and quickness and her athleticism transcends over sports as she averaged over 20 points per game in hoops and dominated in track in just about every event: 100 and 200 meters, long jump, high jump (won the Georgia Middle School State Meet) and, running the 400 meters for the very first time, finished 6th at state. One of the stars at December's prestigious Faster2First camp, Madrey has the speed that wins championships so it's no wonder she has offers from programs like Georgia, Mississippi State, Duke and North Carolina State with trips upcoming to LSU, Florida, Missouri, Ole Miss, Michigan and Oklahoma.

T-20--Tatum Sparks C/OF... Gametime Stars (Oklahoma State) Sparks was one of the first 2021 players to commit after being offered early by Oklahoma State and three other programs, but she knew from the beginning staying at home was where she wanted to be. Her athleticism and energy on the field reminds many of another great product from the Gametime Stars, 2017 grad Sydney Sherrill, a Florida State signee and member of the USA Junior National team. Sparks can play any position other than pitcher because she has a great glove, arm and bat and can even run well. She dominates in softball as well as basketball and track. Her athleticism runs in her family as her brother, Tanner, is headed to OSU to play baseball. Sparks has kicked off this year with a bang: playing against 18U teams in ASA Hall of Fame action and around Oklahoma (high school ball is in the fall) she's put up a stellar .636 on-base percentage. Behind the plate, her quick reflexes, release and cannon for an arm make opponents afraid to run on her.

I think that new commit they are talking about was Lilio. They had her as a new commit but she's been commited for awhile. Here is the 2 OU recruits.

5--Alexx Waitman SS... Athletics -- Mercado (Oklahoma)
Waitman is a triple threat lefty who is a franchise-type infielder, but can do everything well on the softball field including pitch. One coach said of her, "Athletically, Alexx is as good as it gets." Last year she batted over .520 with 55 steals playing for the Oklahoma Athletics and is now commuting to play for David Mercado's talented Athletics team in Southern California. The Oklahoma native has excellent speed and range to get to balls all over the infield and has a quick glove-to-hand transition and a "crazy strong arm," as one coach put it. She played up for the 16U Gold team last year and playing in November with the Athletics went 7-for-9 with six steals at the Battle of the Dons and followed that up in January with a 6-for-8 performance with nine steals at the USA Select Double Down. From her first college showcase tournament in the fall of 2015, she's had major colleges after her, but Waitman's three favorites were always Oklahoma, Florida and Tennessee and, after visiting all three, she decided to stay close to home and commit to the Sooners in October of 2016.

And make it the 4th year in a row with the #1 player.

1--Quincee Lilio 2B/OF... Athletics -- Mercado (Oklahoma)
It's déjà vu all over again as we have a third straight Oklahoma commit headlining a Hot 100 class and for the second time in three years a member of David Mercado's Athletics organization out of Southern California after we previously selected catcher Kinzie Hansen (2019, A's-Mercado) and infielder Jayda Coleman (2020, Texas Glory) to headline each's respective class. No, we're not on either coach's payroll (!) and, if anything, it would have made NOT putting Lilio as the #1 player the safer choice, but the evidence was too strong to go against the So Cal talent. Lilio has won a pair of PGF National Championships over the last three years and is the only 2021 on the 16U squad that Hansen happens to be on which won the 14U PGF title last year. Not only was Lilio on the team, she was a vital contributor hitting .431 with an on-base percentage close to .500. She usually bats in the 2-hole on a team that is loaded with players going to major programs like LSU, UCLA, Tennessee, South Carolina, Arizona and more. Lilio has been playing up and against the best teams in the country for years, against competitors two years older or more that are the elite in the country, and she is not just playing, she's dominating. So what does she do to make her #1 overall? For one thing, she's like a coach on the field. Says David Mercado, "It starts with her IQ, she's to the point where I don't have to teach her any more. She thinks like I think on the field." "Q" usually starts in the outfield but also can play second. Her physical tools start with her speed, which one Southeast coach calls "blazing and legit." She has the speed to slap and the power to hit away and based on what the defense gives her she will smoke the ball down the line by the third baseman if the angle is there. "She's a five-tool player, no question," continues Mercado, "and she's the best player in her age group by far. She could be playing at the 18U level, she's that good, at any position but catcher or pitcher. Lilio is simply one of the top players I've ever trained." You don't have to look far to see where her softball talent comes from--her grandfather, Eddie Aguon, was a huge baseball star in Guam--and she has a cousin, Jaylene Ignacio, who just graduated from San Diego State. With such softball DNA, it's not hard to see why she's on a fast track to success. This year she's batting .500 with six home runs already and one college coach says simply, "She's special, there no question about that. This kid should be an All-American someday."

Here are some recruits that has OU links. We currently have 2 commits so you figure we'll be taking a couple more in this class.

68--Olivia McFadden 3B/1B…Impact Gold Navy - Vaughn (uncommitted)

The infielder has interest from Power Five conference schools and has attended camps or taken unofficials to Florida, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M with more trips planned this year to top 25 programs such as Arizona, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, and UCLA.

57--Kaylee Lyon MIF… Gametime Stars (uncommitted)

Her ability to hit for a high average and with power has earned her a pair of offers with a half-dozen major colleges -- such as Arizona State, Houston, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State showing serious interest.

50--Maggie McBrayer P... Firecrackers -- Sewell (uncommitted)

McBrayer has been on visits to Oklahoma and Missouri recently and is also hearing from ACC, Big 12 and Big Ten programs.

41--Lyndi Rae Davis C/3B... Atlanta Vipers -- Trowell (uncommitted)

Only thing I have here is a pretty recent follow from JT Gasso on twitter.

40--Anna Holloway SS/UT… Beverly Bandits -- Harkness (uncommitted)

She's been on visits to Oklahoma, Northwestern, and Notre Dame as a high academic student-athlete with a strong upside.

29--Ally Sockey SS… Tulsa Elite (uncommitted)

Arkansas maybe the biggest thread to OU here but seems to be pretty big on OU.

26--Turiya Coleman C/UT… Impact Gold -- Mata (uncommitted)

Her physical skills and softball tools, which include being able to hit with power and play the small game, have led to her taking campus visits to Oklahoma, Houston and Texas Tech with Texas, Texas A&M and Lamar also in the picture.

-26--Baylea Brandon 1B/OF… Texas Blaze (uncommitted)

Basing this purely because of lots of Oklahoma follows on twitter and according to Flosoftball she has Big 12 interest.

25--Lauren Sciborski C/3B… Michigan Finesse (uncommitted)

Sciborski hit .492 and drew the interest of major programs across the country including Michigan, Ohio State and Northwestern in the Big Ten and Oklahoma outside the Midwest. Several Power 5 schools have offered.

13--Caylynn Esparza C/3B... Diamond Sports Hotshots (uncommitted)

Has facebook pics with Gasso, Lombardi and at an OU football game. So she's been on campus.

11--Kaylen Madrey MIF/OF... Firecrackers -- Sewell

She has offers from programs like Georgia, Mississippi State, Duke, and North Carolina State with trips upcoming to LSU, Florida, Missouri, Ole Miss, Michigan, and Oklahoma.
